oOh!media has reached an exclusive agreement with Stride Property Group to provide market-leading Out Of Home advertising screens at seven major retail centres across New Zealand.

The agreement involves the renewal of long term rights at centres in Auckland, Wellington and Hamilton and the addition of two new centres to the oOh! portfolio in Queenstown and Auckland.

Adam McGregor, oOh!’s General Manager New Zealand, said today: “This is a very important win for oOh! as it provides additional long term coverage in existing markets plus further coverage in Auckland and an exciting new presence in Queenstown, a traditionally hard to reach area for Out Of Home.

“We are delighted to extend our partnership with Stride Property Group which has one of New Zealand’s largest diversified investment property portfolios.”

Roy Stansfield, General Manager Shopping Centres for Stride Property said: “We recognises the investment that oOh! is making in innovation across the Out Of Home industry and believes that its digital portfolio will play an important role in the vibrancy and attraction of its centres for shoppers.”

The agreement includes the renewal of advertising rights for Queensgate Shopping Centre in Wellington and Chartwell Shopping Centre in Hamilton, both of which Stride Property Group acquired recently from Westfield’s Scentre Group.

There are also extensions of existing agreements for NorthWest Shopping Centre and Silverdale Centre in Auckland and a long-term renewal for the Johnsonville Shopping Centre in Wellington.

The two new centres in the oOh!-Stride agreement are the Remarkables Park Town Centre in Queenstown and Mount Wellington Shopping Centre in Auckland.

Mr McGregor said the NorthWest and Silverdale centres are located in expanding urban areas of Auckland whose growing business and residential populations promise healthy retail futures.

He said the Stride-owned centres will feature a mixture of oOh’s classic (or static) Out Of Home advertising and state-of-the-art digital screens that carry video content.

The digital screens include oOh!’s large format EVOKE displays in retail centre atriums and interactive EXCITE screens that offer advertisers a quantum leap forward in their ability to engage shoppers.
