oOh!media are thrilled and very humbled to have received the accolade of ‘Media Business of the Year’ at last night’s prestigious 2019 Beacon Awards.
The ‘Media Business of the Year’ award recognises this years’ outstanding media business. The judging panel looked for evidence of a clear vision and strategy, implemented with success – from financial to industry engagement and reputation, to audience growth.
The award was fantastic recognition for the oOh! team in New Zealand, who worked tirelessly to deliver continued success for the business. Like most media businesses 2018 presented significant challenges for oOh! but as articulated in the Beacons entry, oOh! developed a well-considered strategy focused on product evolution and value creation for their advertisers, that ultimately delivered a record year of growth.
oOh! were able to demonstrate not just a sound strategy but professional execution of that strategy by a team of skilled, highly motivated and passionate individuals with a curious and innovation-led mindset.
This win comes off the back of an extremely successful 2016 and 2017, where oOh! (formerly Adshel NZ) took home ‘Media Sales Team of the Year’ and ‘Media Business of the Year’ respectively at previous Beacon Awards.
Nick Vile, oOh!’s General Manager of New Zealand had this to say of the win,
“We are obviously very humbled to receive this acknowledgement by our peers in the media industry. The award is great recognition of the oOh! team, who have continued to work passionately over recent years to deliver success. It is an absolute pleasure to work with such a talented and driven group of people, whose positive and proactive attitude reflects in the way that we do business.”
“I’d especially like to acknowledge and thank our advertiser partners, agency clients, commercial partners and key suppliers for their ongoing support, particularly backing the investments we’ve made in digitisation and audience insights over recent years. None of our success could have been achieved without the input and contribution from these groups.”
